A competent professional with 13 years of Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance experience in the field Power plant & Pharma plant Utility domain.
Experience
Manage all mechanical maintenance activities associated with defect and planned maintenance programmes, through a team of site based engineers, technicians and at times by external contract agencies.
Development of the short and long term mechanical maintenance strategy for the plant and the development of a capable engineering, planning and mechanical maintenance team to support that strategy.
Day to day plant efficient management of mechanical maintenance activities, according to good utility practice, company rules and procedures, legal, contractual and other requirements
Respects the O&M agreement with the Owner and the Contractual Services Agreements with the long-term contractors.
Ensure that the plant meets availability, reliability, efficiency, production and cost targets, safely and within the environmental, legal and contractual requirements.
Establish the appropriate procedures and computerized mechanical maintenance management processes as applicable to a prudent management regime.
Coordinate mechanical maintenance activities with finance and accounting, administration, HSE and operations departments
Define, manage and monitor the mechanical maintenance budget in line with the overall company budget.
Education
Implement mechanical maintenance practices in accordance with OEM and international standards
Coordinates all planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance activities in accordance with the O&M agreement and WPA;
Day-to-day management of the mechanical maintenance of the plant by a dedicated Maintenance Team;
Responsible for the facility QA/QC, Root Cause Analysis Program;
Administers the Preventive / Predictive / Corrective Mechanical Maintenance Programs through a computerized management program;
Determines and schedules the manpower, tools and spares requirements for each mechanical maintenance activity;
Reviews, implements and monitors the adherence to mechanical maintenance Methods and Procedures;
Development, achievement and reporting of mechanical maintenance KPI’s and objectives in line with the Business Plan;
Efficient management of spares and consumables inventory while controlling the risks to the business
Management and tracking of tools
Adherence to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards
Organizes risk analysis for the mechanical maintenance tasks
Implementation of Procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals management
Maintaining high standards of management, ethics and leadership
Implements lessons learned processes and other activities to achieve a learning organization;
Takes a lead role in implementing performance management processes within the mechanical maintenance team.
Establish and implement vertical/horizontal communication within the mechanical maintenance team to ensure members are well informed and remain engaged with the business.
Communication and cooperation with the Maintenance and Operation, Finance and Accounting, Administration and HSE teams
Assists in warranty claim management
Assists in the design, sourcing and implementation of facility engineering improvements;
Assists in establishing and maintaining the computerised Maintenance Management System for the plant;
Responsible for budget expense/capital planning and control of the mechanical maintenance dept;
Prepares specifications, plans and administers Third Party Contracts and other mechanical maintenance contracts;
Works closely with inspection and overhaul contractors and provides them with all the necessary support;
