Log Analyzer & Threat Detection Tool

• Built a Python CLI tool that parses raw system and web server logs, detects brute-force attempts and anomalous access patterns via pattern-matching heuristics, and outputs severity-classified structured alerts — replicating lightweight SIEM detection-rule logic.
• Automated repetitive log triage tasks in lab simulations, applying the same prioritization logic SOC analysts use to manage high-volume alert queues.

XSS Vulnerability Playground & Scanner

• Reproduced reflected and stored XSS vulnerabilities in a controlled environment; built an automated scanner to detect unsanitized injection points, then applied mitigations (output encoding, CSP headers) — demonstrating the attack-and-defend lifecycle for OWASP Top 10 web vulnerabilities.

AWS Cloud Security Lab

• Provisioned intentionally insecure S3 environments to study real-world cloud exposure risks; hardened each configuration using least-privilege IAM policies and documented findings against the AWS shared responsibility model.
