Microbiology Senior Lab Technician - Jaslok Hospital and Research

Perform Phlebotomy : Inpatients blood collection. Perform laboratory procedures following protocols including primary culture and sensitivity, serology, Enzyme linked immunosorbent Assay , parasitology, microscopy ,TB Culture,B-D Glucan and Aspergillus galactomenon. Organizing work by matching computer (HIS)orders with specimen, barcode & vouchers.

Providing test results for patient's diagnosis by operating automated instruments. Key operator for Vitek 2 system,GeneXpert, Biofire,MGIT, MALDI-Toff, Bactec,Mini-Vidas, Cobas

• Entering & saving results in HIS system.
• Identifying & communicating abnormal/critical reports to the concerned Consultant.
• Place indents as per inventory requirements of kits, reagents & consumables.
• Verify material received in the department.
• Perform environmental surveillance of critical areas as per protocol or whenever asked.
• Ensure samples are reported within defined TAT.
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
• Preparation of documents for laboratory accreditation on regular basis for Audit or Quality control.
