Project: CSS Billing. The system titled CSS (Customer Service Systems) is one of the largest computing systems of British Telecom (BT). The project CSS comprises of several sub-systems in Telecom billing. CSS comprises of numerous subsystems that can be grouped into application areas. None of these subsystems can be run in isolation as they depend on common data stores held across the whole of CSS.

The three main applications areas are: CSS Networks, CSS Service and Resource Management and CSS Billing. CSS Billing is further divided into various subsystems like Infeeds, Bill Production, BFPA and RCDM. As a Mainframe application developer for BT's CSS Bill Production system is responsible for the following –
