Rajput received his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Photovoltaic from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD), India in 2018.

His research area and title of his PhD thesis is: "Degradation and Thermal Modeling of Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Module in Real Operating Condition". He received his master's degree (M. Tech) in Energy Management with 1st Class Honors in 2013 from School of Energy and Environmental Studies, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, India. Dr.
