Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the chef assistant position your restaurant advertised on the internet. My goals are to eventually become a master chef and having the opportunity to get in on the ground floor working in an upscale eatery would be invaluable to me. I am currently attending culinary school and have some previous food service experience.
In my current role I have been working as a assistant which has prepared me for the fast pace of restaurant work. I am hard-working and dependable. I have great interpersonal and social skills and work well as part of a team.
I can take direction from others and am willing to help in any way no matter how menial. If the chef wishes I can help prep many Indian dishes as I am currently studying Indian cooking and have learned a great deal.
