For close to two and half decades now, as a part of the Information Technology industry, I have witnessed the evolution of my domain - specifically, the rise of the digital enterprise and the catalytic role cybersecurity is playing in shaping the future of digital transformation. I’m fascinated by the industry changes and keenly follow advances (including research and development) in this space. Be it technology architecture, security innovation, the impact on decision-making, or the adoption of best practices - I’m always looking to understand the nuances of cybersecurity and how it impacts individuals and businesses.
My impetus is to lead the change by enabling the meaningful adoption of cybersecurity in the marketplace.
As the group CISO , Paytm I have two primary responsibilities – it involves fortifying these fintechs / banks and customer data by driving effective cybersecurity practices. The other is to understand customer needs and create value for them by solving their security challenges. In my perspective, raising cybersecurity awareness across the industry, adopting pioneering technologies, and sharing best practices between businesses can spark the change we need to stay ahead of threats.
I believe in empowering enterprises on the journey to improve their overall security posture by providing the right insights and simplifying the security problem.
● Pravin is currently working with Paytm as Group CISO. Previously he worked as CISO and DPO at PayU , Director, India head of Technology, Privacy and Cyber Control and Global head of Assurance practice at Barclays . He also worked with Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and HDFC Bank in leadership positions.

● Pravin holds a degree and MBA from JBIMS, a premier institute of India. His certifications include CISSP, PMP, CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, ITIL, COBIT, CCNA, TOGAF9, CISM and others
