Rahul Dass

I am an associate professor at Bennett University, which is India's top university. I moved to full-time academics in 2019 after about 25 years in journalism with top media houses.

Besides digital journalism, I teach news analysis and media skills.

I am the nodal faculty for BU's lead partner role for JournalismAI Collab Challenge organised by the journalism think-tank of London School of Economics and Google News Initiative.

I am also the lead faculty for BU's centre for research on media and technology.

I have co-filed six patents that push the boundaries of story-telling.

From 1994 to 2019, I have worked in newspapers and a news wire, besides helping to bring out a magazine and its website.

I am a graduate in journalism from Delhi University, which is one of the best public universities in India. I hold a doctorate in political science from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.
