Prudential Financial Planning - Prudential Financial Planning (PFP) sells a range of different Prudential products. On most of these products, Adviser Charges (AC) can be facilitated to cover the cost of providing the advice to a client. However, there are a number of Prudential legacy products that have not been developed to facilitate an Initial Adviser Charge (IAC), or an Ongoing Adviser Charge (OAC). Currently PFP Partners are providing advice on these legacy products but are unable to take an appropriate charge for the service. This represents a loss of income for PFP. Along with the lost income, there is a regulatory aspect (COBS 6.1A.9R) which requires PFP to take a charge that is broadly in line with the cost of providing the advice. The aim of this project is to establish a way of taking these charges for PFP business, while meeting regulatory obligations.
