General Manager – Purchase - KL University - Vijayawada

Responsible for working closely with the selected supplier and managing the companies' Procurement activities. Also providing leadership for the purchasing department and motivating Staff to achieve maximum performance and efficiency. Making sure that the purchasing department Works within all of the companies Operational Procedures.

Sourcing the materials, negotiating the price and controlling the purchase activities.
Coordinate with respective departments (production/quality/warehouse departments) to monitor Everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working continuous improvement in same.
Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency of packaging department And monitor inventory for warehouse and maintain records of all physical transactions and Prepare documents for same.
Create and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges of the organization
Improve purchasing systems and processes
Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Developing long-term partnerships with suppliers.
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs and cost
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Work to improve delivery lead time
Empanel vendors for business requirements
Review contract specifications on behalf of the company
Consistently evaluating vendor performance on the basis of price, quality & Credibility to ensure adherence to predefined specifications and Supply of quality material or Execution of job works.
Techno-commercial negotiation with vendors, ensuring on time payments.
Executing the import management activities.
Heading Material & Purchase planning, responsible for all Purchase & Contracting functions, Supply Chain Management; Imports / local purchase; inventory control.
Sourcing through imports as well as from domestic market, Vendor development & management, Local purchases, planning purchases of Imported items Purchase Planning, Control & Execution.
Procurement of Raw Material, purchase of packing materials, Engineering materials, Logistic support for storage.
Inventory control, Coordination with production, Finance, Store etc.
Cost control and follow up with supplier. Outsourcing Identifying the need, Cost Benefit analysis, Vendor evaluation and selection and stabilization.
