Musician, Music teacher and Musicologist
My key strengths lie in both music and teaching. I have strong knowledge of Carnatic music, including vocal techniques, raga, tala, bhava, manodharma basics, and music theory. I am skilled at simplifying complex musical concepts so that students of different age groups can understand and enjoy learning. I possess excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills, which help me create a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment. I am patient, adaptable, and capable of customizing lessons according to each student's learning pace, age, and goals. In addition to teaching, I have strong research and analytical skills developed through my Master's degree in Music. I enjoy studying the historical, theoretical, and musicological aspects of Carnatic music, analyzing compositions, and understanding their lyrical, cultural, and musical significance. This research-oriented approach enables me to connect theory with practical learning and helps students gain a deeper appreciation of Indian classical music. I am also experienced in organizing workshops, preparing students for stage performances, cultural events, and competitions. Along with good planning, time management, and organizational skills, I am passionate about inspiring students through music and helping them develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong love for Indian classical music.
