Research & Finance Analyst with over two years of experience in startup investment analysis at Redwood Partners. Startup investment advisory to TANSIM programme

• Financial due diligence: Review P&L, Balance Sheet and cash-flow statements and reconcile them against bank statements, GST filings (GSTR-2A/3B), Income Tax records, ROC/MCA, ESIC/EPF data, payroll and founder claims; identify related-party and unusual transactions and convert findings into founder/auditor questions, red flags and IC-ready recommendations.
• Investment Memoranda: Capable of preparing a complete IM independently, covering investment rationale, business and domain analysis, TAM/SAM/SOM, competition, SWOT, management and governance, financials, regulatory analysis, risks, transaction terms and annexures. Currently own the finance and regulatory sections of every IM and the technical annexures for technology companies.
• Funding structuring: Review founder-submitted Business Plan and Milestone templates, guide founders through them, and work with the deal lead to convert accepted assumptions into milestone-linked funding tranches with conditions precedent and subsequent.
• Screening and assessment: Profile applicants from pitch decks and public sources; evaluate Startup Readiness Level (SRL) submissions; conduct First Connect founder calls with structured questioning; arrange SME validation for technical companies; prepare First Connect Reports with clear rationale and improvement feedback where companies do not progress.
• Investment Committee and post-IC: Attend IC meetings with TANSIM leadership and investors and address finance questions; track recommendations and founder follow-ups; prepare condensed pitch decks and progress updates for approved companies.
• Financial modelling and fundraising support: Build financial models and projections for client companies; prepare investor pitch decks and financial narratives; support follow-on fundraising by previously funded startups; standardise recurring analysis through structured Excel templates (P&L, Balance Sheet, ratios, dashboards).
• Primary research: Conducted in-store retail surveys across Chennai for two engagements, in addition to desk research on market structure, competition and regulation.
• Bootcamps and ecosystem: Coordinate TANSIM applicant cohorts for 2–3 day bootcamps and delivered the Business Plan training session at the September 2026 bootcamp. Managed an investor room at a CIIC Mega Demo Day, coordinating startup–investor interactions and follow-on introductions.

• Technology and workflow development: Designed and built major modules of Redwood’s internal investment platform (Profiling, SRL, First Connect, FSA, Investment Memorandum, notes and task/comment workflows), backed by a Python/FastAPI financial-document extraction service and a Node.js PDF-generation service. Currently extending the platform with Milestones and Business Plan modules.
