With around 9 years’ of rich experience as in Laboratory Technologist Professional, I have steadily progressed through each position and was assigned to oversee all the laboratory management and with troubleshooting and maintenance of the same and I have excellent communication skills; work well in a group environment, and I am able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently. I have excellent organizational skills and have worked for a company and have gained extensive knowledge of the different aspects of Laboratory management, and my previous work experience has provided me with a solid foundation in the areas of all aspects of the lab work including sample preparation, weighing and measuring chemicals, cooling samples, use of special equipment, keep all equipment working properly, while keeping an eye on safety issues. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has given me a great deal of insight into plan, organize and execute laboratory safety procedures and make sure that laboratory information is accurate and current and it has also taught me that there are no absolutes when it comes to problem solving., I excel at:
- Provide genetic counselling to patients and standardising new assays.
- Responsible for extracting DNA from blood, chorionic villus sample (CVS), and amniotic fluid.
- Ensure that PCR-based prenatal diagnostic testing for thalassemia and sickle cell disease is carried out, and accurate lab data and records are maintained
- Perform real-time PCR assays for infectious diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, HPV, and sars-cov2 (Covid19).
- Responsible for the preparation of data for Covid 19, Cervical Cancer, and Prenatal Diagnosis, as well as training lab technicians in system and safety procedures.
- Determine and suggest the requirements for hardware, software, lab supplies, and lab equipment.
