I am an agricultural professional with 27 years of academic, research, and CSR leadership experience. I have lived and worked in five countries—India, China, UK, Denmark, and USA—and travelled to 20+ countries for project work. I hold two Ph.D. degrees, one in Agronomy from UAS Dharwad, Karnataka and another in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Completed three international post doctoral programs in China, UK, and USA. I have executed 25+ externally funded projects worth US$ 6 million and authored 150+ peer reviewed publications. My teaching portfolio spans undergraduate, postgraduate, and international courses, including collaborations with Cornell University.
Received numerous awards, including the ICAR Lal Bahadur Shastri Young Scientist Award, Chinese Govt Scholarship as a Visiting Scholar, Royal Society International Fellowship, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Research Fellowship etc. Worked as Professor & Head of Agricultural Meteorology at UAS Dharwad between 2018 and 2023, led multiple national and international projects before taking voluntary retirement in 2025.
Currently, serve as Head of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Special Initiatives at Pidilite CSR in Gujarat state. In this role, my team works with 25,000+ farmers across 200+ villages, managing 71 initiatives matching to ESGs with a multidisciplinary team of 100+ professionals and field officers.
I have 27 years work experience across several domains from Teaching, Research and Outreach activities in India, R&D in foreign Universities (China, UK, Denmark and USA). Since July 2025 I am Leading a CSR - Agri-Hort-Animal Husbandry and Special Initiatives in Pidilite-CSR program.
