UG Ventilation Technician at UG Engineering Services-MTS (2018-08 – Present)
- Perform daily vent surveys on both Primary & Secondary Ventilation systems as well as active levels.
- Record the wet and dry bulb temperatures of all workplaces where conditions could adversely affect the safety and health of people working underground.
- Pre & Post Blast Clearance to make sure underground is clear from blast fumes.
- Enter data and sign into ventilation logbook.
- Carry out Diesel Emission Test on all underground fleets (Diesel particulate monitoring).
- Operate, calibrate and maintain instrumentation.
- Perform daily checks on secondary VCD such as DBR, RADs, L/Ways, R. Chambers, etc.
- Conduct Regular Ventilation audits on development headings, Diamond Drill sites, etc.
- Install signage & barricades to all unventilated areas.
- Assist engineers for site inspections, blast loggings, emergency plans, etc.
- Report safety issues, hazards and/or safety interactions to the shift boss for rectification.
UG Haul Trucks (AD 45, AD55 & AD60) Operator at PJV-Papua New (2017-01 – 2020-06)
- Carried out detailed Pre-Start Checks to identify defects & damage to equipment before operating.
- Transported ore from underground production areas to ROM stockpiles.
- Moved waste materials to allocated area.
- Attended PM Service when scheduled.
- Report TOPs & Hazards and fill in the hazard information sheet or directly report.
- Perform House Keeping before Pre and Post Shift.
- Maintain open communication with shift boss and always dispatch.
- Maintained sound communication with cross shift concerning equipment used on shift.
