Text Summarization (NLP Project). Tools Used: NLTK, and Transformers (T5)

• Developed an NLP-based Text Summarization system to generate concise summaries from news articles and documents.
• Preprocessed text data using tokenization, stopword removal, and cleaning techniques with NLTK and Python. Implemented extractive summarization using TF-IDF and TextRank algorithm.
• Trained and evaluated the model on a news dataset 50K+ samples containing article text and summaries.
• Achieved a ROUGE-1 score of 0.48 and ROUGE-2 score of 0.30, improving summary relevance and coherence. Explored transformer-based models T5 for abstractive summarization to enhance performance.
