Forensic pathologist with over 30 years of experience, expert in forensic pathology, clinical forensic, anthropology etc. Published over 30 scientific papers.
Having a full time forensic practice experience for over 18 years, I have performed over 6000 autopsy examinations, involved in over 10,000 clinical forensic examinations, and also supervised large number of pathological and clinical cases conducted by post graduate trainees attached to my unit, covering broad spectrum of medico-legal scope including explosive cases, mass disasters, human rights violations, child abuse, sexual violence, domestic violence, workman compensation etc. Particularly, I have been engaged in management of dead and missing in mass disasters including Tsunami 2004 and multiple bomb explosions in Sri Lanka. I have also conducted several mass grave exhumations into victims of extrajudicial execution during 30 year old civil war in Sri Lanka.
