• Presenting key HSEF Audit issues in Quarterly Business Risk and Assurance Committee (BRAC) meetings
• Design and apply HSEF Systems as per Central Guidelines / Corporate Standards / Group Guidelines to enhance HSEF performance of site including steady state operations and maintenances, expansions in existing and new projects. Formulate and implement site specific HSEF procedures to achieve Business /Organizational objective
• To ensure Process Safety awareness & oversee the implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) elements such as Process Technology (PT) / Process Safety Information (PSI), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Operating procedures, Management of change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), Mechanical Integrity (MI), Quality Assurance (QA) at the site level
• Lead process safety studies such as HAZOP and QRA and support for other studies such as LOPA, SIL, What-If, review and monitor recommendations for effective closure
• Deliver support for Incident Management (IM) to ensure timely reporting, investigation of incident and implementation of incident recommendations to avoid reoccurrence. Review and tracking of applicable LFIs (learning from incidents), analysis of incident data for Safety Culture Improvement plan and provide safe and healthy workplace to personnel
• Maintain a sustainable safety culture through effective hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA/HITRA/RR), implementation of relevant control measures of routine and non-routine activities related to Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
• Enforce implementation of Work place Safety management through work permit system for safe work execution of various types of work such as Confined Space Entry (CSE), Hot Work, Height Work, Line Break etc., trainings, inspections, risk assessment & management, evaluation
• Oversees implementation of Emergency Response Preparedness and Management to prevent and mitigate emergency within stipulated time through emergency response plan, healthiness of emergency equipments, awareness to concern personnel on their roles and responsibilities, mutual aid facilities, periodic mock drills
• Deliver support to Project Management Group during design, engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, start up, shutdown to ensure implementation of relevant safety management system
• Ensure implementation of Construction Safety Management (CSM) program through Project Safety Plan, Construction Safety Plan, training and validations, inspection, work permit system, mock drills, six steps process of CSM, contractor performance evaluation, awareness campaign, penalties for violations etc
• Ensure healthiness of fire detection and protection facilities for emergency mitigation including fire pump house, fire tenders, emergency vehicles, rescue team
• To interrelate applicable legal statues and complying statutory requirements such as DISH, PESO, GPCB, CPCB, GIDC and other local governing bodies
• Lead Management efforts for OHC services likes injury management, emergency management, pre-& periodic medical examination, awareness, workplace healthiness, ambulance, hospital facilities etc
• Environmental aspects: Workplace Monitoring, Stack Monitoring, Water and Waste Water Management, Noise Monitoring, Illumination survey, Hazardous Waste Management as per statutory guidelines and implement corrective actions on abnormalities
