Day-to-day duties include supervising safety activities on repair vessels and new building rigs.

• Supervise a team of trainee safety engineers and closely monitor their activities.
• Attend VSCC meeting everyday, discuss and resolve potential safety hazards
• Stop all unsafe operations onboard
• Accountable for preparing 5-step (risk analysis) for each activity onboard
• Coordinate daily tool box meetings, prepare Minutes of meeting and report all hazards and near misses.
• Organize monthly meetings, discuss lessons learned from each unsafe working conditions and recommend remedial work plans
• Team player in maintaining overall safe working atmosphere onboard
• Lead team of fire fighters, in case of fire onboard
• Ensure contractors working onboard, not deviating from safety regulations
• Responsible for verifying oxygen levels in all tanks, three times a day
