- Responsible for the continuous development of Safety Policies and Procedures as well as effective implementation of these policies.
- Identifying, Eliminating, Preventing, controlling hazards & pollution that could cause accidents, illness or environmental harm.
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of EHS management system in accordance with international standard IS / ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 45001: 2018.
- Conducting EHS Management Committee meetings periodically, to present summary of performance on EHS management at sites to EHS management committee, including recommendations for improvement, communicating safety and environmental policies to all employees
- Initiating of Corrective and Preventive action for the non-conformances relating to EHS Management system, reporting on the performance of EHS Management system to site Management subsequently to Top Management for review for its improvement
- Identifying training needs for both staff and workmen & accordingly training conducting periodically.
- Organizing & conducting both in-house & external EHS training programmers for different levels of employees as per training matrix.
- Working in close coordination with Consultants / Contractors HSE coordinators for day-to-day safety activities.
- Has played advisory roles to the client as a managing Consultant in the field of Environment Health & Safety.
- Promotion of workplace health, safety and environmental awareness among all employees and sub-contractors by organizing HSE campaigns, seminars, and workshops at site.
- Record, analysis and cascade lateral learning points from first aid cases, near miss cases & accidents to all project personnel and analyze the trends & effectiveness.
- Review and approval of project EHS plans, Safe working procedures / method statements, risk assessment.
- Conduct management safety walk down for review of site safety situations and make aware of management for improvement.
- Involved in accident and incident investigation processes with client; to prepare analysis reports and share the lessons learnt with agencies for implementation of recommendations to avoid reoccurrences.
- Doing monthly EHS audits (CAS – Critical Area Safety) for other the project as per higher management audit schedule.
- Conduct project EHS meeting with client, Consultants and Contractors management for review of HSE management system and implementation of new system for continual improvement.
