I am well skilled to work in an embryology clinic, currently performing all procedures independently except embryo biopsy which I am keen to learn. I would assimilate very quickly to this environment with minimal training. My current work experience has enabled me to develop great leadership and teamwork skills, positive and effective communication skills, and good time management.
I have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken. I am looking forward to gaining the opportunity to become a better clinical embryologist and believe my academic training and personal attributes make me a good candidate
I have graduated with a Master of Clinical Embryology Degree, undertaken at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Currently, I am working as an embryologist in Nova IVF fertility centre.
Throughout the Master of Clinical Embryology course I attended the laboratory daily, working with both mouse oocytes and embryos to acquire all the routine skills necessary of a clinical embryologist including: media preparation and quality assurance in the laboratory, statistical evaluation of procedures, sperm evaluation and preparation, IVF and embryo culture, cryopreservation (slow-cooling and vitrification), ICSI and embryo biopsy. The course has also given me a comprehensive knowledge of clinic structure, operation, world-wide regulations and ethical considerations. Also, as part of the course, I undertook an interesting research project in finding a universal warming protocol to use on oocytes vitrified by different vitrification protocols.
Biopsy and vitrification served to enhance my skills in embryo handling. So far, I have obtained distinctions in both practical techniques and theory.
