• Generated high resolution precipitation datasets in the Western Himalayas by integration of satellite precipitation products at 10 km and environmental predictors at 1 km spatial resolution.
• The study combines climate and environmental variables like DEM, NDVI, LST, PWV, albedo, and geographical coordinates to improve predictive accuracy in complex mountain terrain.
• It involved the implementation and evaluation of machine learning approaches like Random Forest, XGBoost and Genetic Algorithm Backpropagation methods for spatial downscaling and prediction of precipitation in Western Himalayas at fine resolution (1 km)
