• Coordinate the security aspects of the handling of the ship's stores with other shipboard personnel and with the relevant Port Facility Security Officers along with dog handler personnel.
• Report to Chief Security Officer and SSO (Ship Security Officer) any deficiencies and non-conformities with safety identified during internal audits and periodic reviews.
• Security and safety inspections and verifications of compliance and implementing any corrective actions.
• Enhance security and safety awareness and vigilance on board, ensuring adequate training is provided to shipboard personnel, as appropriate.
• Report all security and safety incidents and coordinate the implementation of the Ship Security Plan with the Company Security Officer and the relevant Port Facility security officer as required.
• CCTV usage and monitoring.
• Direct training and test sessions for junior team members.
• Collect review and process data from threat assessment centers worldwide and ensure the data is shared with the team to enhance the security measures during all meetings.
• Oversee all daily security operations and supervise the entire team including the supervisor.
• Evaluate the entire team for professional periodic assessment.
