Understanding the role of BRCA1/PARG in the maintenance of genome stability and repair of double-strand DNA breaks in meiosis. The study was focused on the effects of aberrant poly (ADP) ribosylation-mediated DNA damage response upon BRCAs deficiencies in the C. elegans germline. We identified that BRC-1/BRD-1 interacts with PARG-1 which regulates DNA repair pathway choice in developing oocytes.

Studies of phytomolecules from Gardenia lucida (Roxb.) for their anti-aging and anti-Alzheimer's activities in Caenorhabditis elegans. Using imaging, genetic, biochemical, and molecular methods we identified that xanthomicrol (the most potent constituent of G. lucida) acts on the MAPK pathway for longevity and curtails the amyloid-beta through mitophagy.
