Recently, I worked as a Piping Stress Engineer in Mumbai at SPEC Technical Services Pvt. Ltd. for 8 months, which is a consultancy based company established 7 years ago. The project I was assigned here dealt with Tank farms, Pumps and PSV. The plant is bulit at Panipat, Haryana, India with IOCL as its owner and L&T as the EPC contractor. During my workspan, I performed Pipe Stress Analysis using Caesar II software in compliance with ASME B31.3 code and evaluaued critical piping systems under various operating conditions, including thermal expansion, sustained, and occasional loads.Collaborated with the Design and Engineering teams to examine and interpret piping specifications, isometric drawings, and relevant documents in order to conduct accurate stress analysis.
Equipments like Pumps and Tanks by performing piping flexibility checks with close collaboration with Piping design team to ensure the safety, feasibility and efficiency of the routing.
Isometric markups and detailed stress report documentation work for the preparation of the complete stress package. Also played an important role in checking of Isometrics being issued for construction from stress and support point of view.
Prior to joining SPEC, I used to work at SABIC (Bangalore) as an intern to meet my MTech requirements. There I had a lot to learn where I dealt with the stress-strain relationships of viscoelastic materials. The project I undertook at SABIC was related to blow molding of HDPE bottles and Jerrycans, to develop an efficient and productive way to mass produce such products while improving the process and performance requirements.
In 2023, I completed my Masters Degree in Computer Aided Analysis and Design (CAAD) from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal with a CGPA of 9.4. The subjects that pulled my attention were: Solid Mechanics, Finite Elements Method, Fracture Mechanics, Fatigue of Materials, Mechanical vibrations & CFD.
In 2021, I finished my Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from NMAM Institute of Technology, Karkala with a CGPA of 8.77.
