SCANIA and MAN are developing common truck platform under Traton Group. Where I am responsible to Design and develop commonized solution for cabin wiring harness routing for different cabin variants. and responsible area is Door Harness routing and Bed Storage harness routing.
- Knowledge and good hands-on experience with CATIA V5 in Electrical Routing, Cable Harness component electrification, Part modelling, Assembly, and Drafting.
- Good knowledge of the design and development of wiring harness.
- Good knowledge of Windchill, Enovia.
- Placement of splices and selection of electrical components, wires, clamps, fuses, connectors, protections, supports of harness, etc.
- Designed and developed Low voltage wiring harness 3D layouts and routing using CATIA V5 for the Truck cabin and Chassis.
- Responsible routing area in Cabin- Door cable routing, Bed storage cable routing & Front cable routing
- Managed PLM activities for data management and change management, ensuring timely releases of layouts and updates to meet project timelines.
- Conducted DMU preparations for routing to assess the compatibility of electrical and electronic systems with vehicle packaging
- Created detailed wiring harness installation drawings/ Tabular drawings to support release activities
- Coordinated with cross-functional teams for vehicle builds, implemented design improvements based on feedback, and ensured quality and functionality.
- Discussing with the supplier while Formboard preparation & Proto build phase RFQ for Harness support level 02 parts and new development inputs.
- Conducted quality checks on 2D Installation drawings to maintain accuracy and design standards.
- Performing reverse engineering of existing harness models to improve manufacturability and serviceability.
- Performed DFA, DFM activities for low voltage electrical cable routing.
- Experience in Engineering change request (ECR) & Material Requests (MR) and Building concepts of Cable harness commonization for different cabin variants of commercial trucks.
- Maintaining project milestone-related documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
