Waste to Energy power plant of 48 MW. To monitor and take corrective actions on Field during any abnormalities in the plant with the objective of ensuring smooth running of power plant.

• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
• Study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations confirm to standards and customer requirements
• Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures
• Plan layout of electric power generating infrastructure, distribution lines, transmission lines and substations
• Develop budgets, estimate labor, material, and construction costs
• Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects
• Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems
• Well aware PO's, WO's, Contracts, with all the commercial terms and conditions and material managements, vendor and client billing, Quality Control etc.
• Commission of all type of motor starter and communication from DCS system. Excellent trouble shooting, fault detecting and analytical skills
• Maintenance of Alternator, Exciter, LAVT, NGR, VFD, HT & LT Breaker, FGCS, Grab Crane Compressor, FGCS etc
• O&M of TG, HT & LT Switchgears, Drives, Motors, Transformers & Protection System
• Planning and effecting preventive maintenance/overhauling schedules of various machineries and equipments to increase machine up time and reliability
• Ensuring the proper functioning of all equipments, attending to the problems encountered and developing solutions to counter them, with the objective of ensuring smooth running of power plant and meeting Customer expectations
• Monitoring of all operational parameters of Alternator and other equipments
• Exposure to plant operating procedures under normal, start-up, safe shut-down and emergency situations
• Line up of the unit and its auxiliaries, Changeover of equipments, routine testing of protection system
• Ensure implementation of safe operating practices of various equipments like, alternator, turbine, Ash Handling, coal handling plant, cooling tower, feed water pumps, DM plants, etc.
• Oversee the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound operation of plant equipment
• Properly operate Control Room, plant auxiliary equipments and system during Startups/Shutdowns, normal and emergency operation
• Monitor and record data available through the use of various instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems and other monitoring devices onto shift logs as directed by plant operation procedure
• Observe variations in operating conditions and interpret meter. Communicate information clearly, both orally and written
• Actively involved with major overhauling of machines like Alternator, Condensate Extraction Pump, Cooling Water Pump, Cooling Tower Fan, Boiler Feed Water Pump, ID Fan, FD Fan, PA Fan, Grab Crane, hydraulic system etc.
• Operation and maintenance of 750KVA and 600KVA Diesel Generator
• Apply knowledge of Steam Turbine power plant operations and basic power plant principles to daily decision work tasks
