I come with over 16 years of experience covering Capital Markets and Impact Investing sectors.
Within the impact investing space I have been building the ecosystem for early stage start-ups to efficiently access markets and create structures around product positioning and pricing. Current I am in the space of expanding my thesis to include food-tech which, according to me, is vital to achieve food security at a national level. Innovations in the space of food and agriculture definitely compliment each other, contrary to the common understanding of them being competitive sectors.
My work with start-ups have largely been on business strategy and execution planning. With my understanding and comfort with numbers, I generally help founders make sense of the extensive cash flow exercise that they tend to undertake. I also tend to create a strong network of potential GTM channels for start-ups to access markets and strengthen their revenues.
I have been instrumental in building partnerships for deal sourcing and negotiate terms with start-ups to close the deal. I have also been very involved with Due Diligence processes.
Since my very first role at Edelweiss I have been fortunate to have been provided the opportunity to build and develop teams. Since then, I have managed teams in every role that I have undertaken, either by design of the role or otherwise. I truly cherish the opportunity of working with teams and I know that I have the ability to positively influence teams and individual members to achieve larger goals.
Capital Markets: I have worked for 10 years in the capital markets space covering Equity, Commodity and Currency derivatives trading in a proprietary setup.
Impact Sector: I have worked with organisations such as UnLtd India and Social Alpha for over 6 years that majorly cover working with startups in the early stages of the venture. I have covered sectors that include Agri-Food tech, Waste to Value and conscious consumer products, among others.
I completed my masters in marketing from Great Lakes Institute of Management. I took up this course when I started working with startups and realised that branding and positioning are extremely vital for startups and my ability to assist them will depend on how effectively i am able to think on those lines.
