Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitoring and troubleshooting the network performance to ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability of network.
- Responsible for Configuration and bridges.installation of LAN/WAN routers, switches, and bridges.
- Managed IP addressing and implemented IP Access Lists.
- Switching Protocols such as: Vlans, Intervlan Routing, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, STP, RSTP and switching security methodssuchas Port-security, DAI, DHCP Snooping and Private Vlan.
- Good knowledge about the network security protocols andapplicationssuch as: ACLs, NAT, PAT.
- Experience on networking protocols SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH.
- Monitored and performed network TCP/IP troubleshooting.
- Documented the design, implementation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Configuring routing protocols- RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
- Administered traffic filters using standard, extended accesslists, distribution lists as well as the route maps.
