• Maintain the electrometallurgical parameter of Electric Arc furnace for efficient conversion of electrical energy in to heat energy&effective utilization of heat generated.
• Monitor furnace top conditions&smelting of charge.
• Maintain required electrode penetration and electrode length.
• Maintain electrode slipping and carbon paste level.
• Maintain adequate charge resistance.
• Monitoring water pressure, furnace shell temperature, alarm&interlocks.
• Exposure to furnace relining&startup activities.
• Routine calibration of weighing batching system.
• Physical observation of raw material quantity&quality, material batches with proper mixing for uniform burden distribution.
• Observation of incoming raw material with respect to quality monitoring.
• Handling process of raw material into furnace and raw material management.
• Preparation of raw material consumption report and material stock report.
