NetApp XCP is high-performance client software for fast and reliable any-to- NetApp and NetApp-to NetApp data migration. The tool supports discovery, logging, and reporting as well as a wide variety of sources and targets. • XCP is the host-based migration tool which can copy data from HDFS or NFS exports or CIFS shares to destination HDFS or NFS exports or CIFS share. Writing Test Cases using TestRail. Test plan creation on test rail, AGILE methodology. Test plan creation and presentation to different OEM?s customers. Qualifying the storage controllers testing which covers system, functional, regression and acceptance testing.

Firmware, BIOS and driver testing for Microsemi storage controllers. Test plan creations based on new features, test cases enhancement on certain intervals. Validation of pre-boot features in both UEFI and Legacy boot support.

Driver testing for different flavors of Windows, Linux and VMware (Esxi) operating systems. RAID controller functionality testing with different servers and storage devices (servers and Enclosures) like HP, Dell, Supermicro, Inspur, PowerLeader. Firmware flashing, Controller driver upgrade/downgrade during running IO.

Testing of different storage controller administration tools like maxView and Smart storage administrator (SSA) and AFU. Testing different features of storage controllers like Multipath, Hyper-V, and software RAID. Storage controller features verifications like hot plug/removal of drives and enclosures, rebuilding, and cascading of enclosure boxes, array migration and controller migration, encryption, array creation/deletion, assign/unassigned hot spare drives.

VMware (ESXi) testing- Installation and configuration, new VM creation, driver upgrade and downgrade, installation and configuration of guest machines, Data stores addition/deletion. Storage controller testing in all the operating mode like RAID, MIXED and HBA. Different remote management features like ILO, RMM, IPMI and iDRAC testing.

Firmware and serial logs collecting using different applications like Putty and WinUART. Controllers testing with different diagnostics tools like pass mark, Disk stress, Medusa, Diskercise Maximum configuration testing of controllers by cascading the external enclosure boxes up to 256 Drives (SAS/SATA/SSD?s). Storage controllers testing with RBOD (MSA2040, Promise) managing RBOD, tape drive and auto loader.

Operating system support for Windows- Win 7, Win 8, Win 10, Win Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012 R2 and 2016 and Linux- RHEL, FREEBSD, SUSE, UBUNTU and Esxi 6.0, 6.5 and 6.7 Good knowledge on JIRA tool, logging product defect in JIRA. Coordinating with developers for the fixes on firmware and driver bugs, testing the bootleg drivers and firmware versions. Testing storage controller drivers and BIOS with different interfaces storage devices like SAS, SATA, SSD?s and SMR drives.[512 byts,4Kn bytes] Strong knowledge on HP smart array controllers, Dell storage controllers and Microsemi storage controllers and their features.

Storage controllers testing with automation. Basic knowledge on Python programming language. Good knowledge on the debugging equipment?s operations and collecting log reports (PCI analyzer and SAS analyzer).
