Transport Manager – Poultry Industry
Plan and manage daily transportation operations for timely and safe movement of day-old chicks.
Prepare daily vehicle deployment and route plans based on dispatch schedules and delivery requirements.
Coordinate company-owned and hired vehicles to ensure continuous transport availability.
Coordinate with drivers, transport vendors, hatchery and operations teams for smooth transportation.
Monitor vehicle movement, trip schedules, delays, breakdowns and other transport-related issues.
Manage driver attendance, duty allocation, shift scheduling and payroll-related inputs.
Coordinate with transport vendors regarding vehicle availability, driver deployment, service issues and payments.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle trips, diesel/fuel, mileage, driver attendance, expenses and transport performance.
Ensure vehicles are suitable and properly prepared for transportation of day-old chicks.
Monitor transportation conditions and take necessary action to minimize delays, mortality and chick quality-related risks during transit.
Handle day-to-day transport issues and coordinate quick solutions to avoid operational disruptions.
Prepare and maintain transport reports and provide regular updates to management.
Follow company safety, hygiene, biosecurity and transportation procedures.
Work closely with internal teams to meet hatchery and dispatch timelines efficiently.
