Associate – Global Business Tax (TMT Sector) at Deloitte Haskins & Sells Chartered Accountants LLP (2025-11 – Present)

Represent client matters before tax authorities on direct tax issues, including drafting and filing CIT(A) submissions, rectification applications under Section 154, and appellate responses for multinational subsidiaries and Indian listed companies across the technology, chemicals, and consumer sectors.
Regularly appear before Deputy, Joint, and Principal Commissioners of Income Tax on assessment, rectification, and refund matters, and have attended Supreme Court and ITAT hearings alongside senior counsel.
Manage end-to-end TDS compliance for multiple multinational clients — reconciliation against Form 26AS/AIS, preparation and filing of TDS returns, and securing Lower Tax Deduction Certificates, including a rate reduction from 6.5% to 4% negotiated directly with the tax department.
Prepared a comparative analysis of TDS provisions under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the newly enacted Income Tax Act, 2025, used as an internal team reference for the transition.
Advise on cross-border matters including DTAA interpretation (India–France Protocol), FEMA compliance, and transfer pricing risk identification.
Worked on the corporate restructuring of a listed Indian company with a market capitalisation of approximately INR 10,000 crore.
