I was working as Team Lead with State Street HCL Services and before this I was in Syntel Pvt Ltd. I have completed my BBA in finance specialization and now appearing for GARP exam FRM level 1. I have completed my CISI exam IOC level 1.

Team Lead Responsibilities: Security Valuation

• Allocating tasks to employees
• Ensuring performance level is up to standard
• Reporting to management

Area of work:

• Pricing of securities as per variousvendors using client metrics.
• Dealing with various types of instruments no Bonds, Equity, OTC, Listed Derivatives, CDS/CLO, Swaps,Mutual fund, fixed income products,Bank loan.
• Ensure to clear variousexception such as No Price, Halted Securities, Stale prices, SuspectPrice, Expired Price.
• Extensively daily use of Bloomberg, Reuters,IDC, JPM, MARKITetc.
• Verifying and comparing valuations against variousfeeds received from Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, JPM and other datavendors highlighting to clients any pricing issues in cases of discrepancy.
• Toinvestigate any exceptional scenarios, we reachout to market data vendors in case of any price discrepancy. Vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, JPM, MARKITetc.
• Closely working with clients, brokers, Operation team, Derivatives team and accounting team to resolveissues related to valuation of securities and NAV impact.
• Dealing with various corporateactions Such as Bonus issue,IPO, Spin-off, Right issue, Merger, split, reverse split, Dividend, Corporate exchange bond, Acquisition etc.
• Coordinate with the GPS team to setup the logics in internal application as per clientrequirement.
• Automate the securities to eliminate the manual intervention.
• Quarterly Securities review to make sure all the securities are in line with the PSA (price sourceagreement).
• Identify processimprovement areas, consistently refining and streamlining the Front-to-Back process.
• Performing auto and manual validation of prices using client approvedsources (PSA) to find the scope for automation.
• Initiate periodic process review (SOP) exercises.

• Acted as a box manager for all DST clients.
• Responsible for freezingthe books as per the valuation point.
