M.Sc. Research Project – Small Hive Beetle (Aethina tumida) Bioecology & Impact Assessment - Assam Agricultural University - Assam, India

• Conducted laboratory rearing and lifecycle observations of Aethina tumida, including egg, larval, pupal and adult stages.
• Designed and conducted double-choice behavioural assays and food-preference experiments using alternative food substrates.
• Recorded larval survival, food consumption, behavioural responses and colony damage indicators; applied statistical analysis to experimental data.
• Assessed effects of infestation on honey bee colony food stores, colony strength and honey quality; documented findings through scientific reporting.
