Joined as EA to MD on 19/4/1996. Then promoted to Purchase Manager, Sr.
Manager and GM Purchase. Worked closely with the promoters of the group. Gained experience in various roles. Participated in management discussion for new projects. Key person for vendor development and management - domestic and international.
Management - collaborated with suppliers of machineries, Raw materials, packaging materials (domestic and foreign countries such as Germany, Scotland, Taiwan, China, The Netherlands, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand etc.). From RFQ, Technical assessment in consultation with management / production / engineering teams, Negotiations for final pricing, terms and conditions, Issue of PO / opening of LC and seller - buyer agreements, etc. Handled inventory management & procurement balancing.
Imports, Shipment, custom clearance etc. Closely worked with company CA for new projects. Worked on cost sheets of product skus based on which management could take important decisions. Built and maintained long term relationships with suppliers while ensuring quality standards are met with every supply.
Evaluated new suppliers and managed key account supplier activities. Managed development of primary and secondary packaging and labels, containers, laminates, KLDs for packaging designs etc. 3rd Party Manufacturing (Co-packaging) - managed negotiations with prospective clients for finalization of pricing, terms and conditions etc. with clients like GPI, Modi Care, ITC, Lotte, Patanjali, Healthkart etc.
