Fire Marshal - Mahindra & Mahindra

• Participate in daily various activity wise fire drills (Hose drill, Hydrant drill, Pump drill, Ladder drill, BA set drill etc.).
• Attending all type of emergencies including snake call / false alarm / fire alarm / mock drills / fire call (internal or external) as & when required.
• Follow the '5S' activity in ECC (Emergency Control Canter)
• Check the emergency siren / fire tender / bell and emergency phone at ECC (Emergency Control Canter)
• Check for fire alarm & detection system main panel at control room / shop floor where deputed for the shift.
• Carry out fire patrolling as directed by the fire officer & Security shift in charge.
• Supervise the critical work as per the work permit.
• Conduct daily inspection round for license areas / hazardous storage area / critical activity areas of shop / plant.
• Report any abnormality to shift in charge / shop maintenance person / shop Fire DM immediately and track for its closure within shift.
• Daily physical verification of available fire fighting equipment of shop / plant. Any abnormalities like leakage / blockage etc. to immediately corrected.
• Checking & approving hot work / confined space work permits of particular shop / plant for safe execution of work.
• Miscellaneous check sheet filling for fire detection & alarm system / fire extinguisher / fire hydrant / LPG / CNG gas banks etc.
• Conducting fire pump room inspection in every shift and testing should be carried out as per shift in charge instruction.
• Conducting live MCP / smoke detector testing as per direction of Fire & Security shift in charge.
• Conducting hazardous vehicle checking before gate entry by ensuring all legal check points.
• Supervise during unloading of LPG / CNG / Petrol / HSD etc.
• Providing fire safety training to shop employees.

Fire Officer - Criti Care Asia Hospital

• Conduct regular fire risk assessments for all departments (ICU, OT, wards, labs, pharmacy, kitchen, stores).
• Ensure safe storage of flammable materials, gases, and chemicals.
• Enforce no-smoking and electrical safety policies.
• Check that fire exits, corridors, and staircases are always unobstructed.
• Identify ignition sources: oxygen pipelines, electrical panels, medical equipment, kitchen, laundry, DG sets.
• Oxygen shut-off valves and gas banks
• Train doctors, nurses, ward boys, housekeeping, security, and admin staff.
• Special training for ICU/OT staff on patient evacuation with life support.
• Prepare hospital-specific evacuation plan (horizontal evacuation first).
• Conduct periodic mock fire drills in different departments.
• Ensure evacuation routes for stretcher, wheelchair, bedridden patients.
• Evaluate drill performance and improve gaps.
• Maintain fire safety records, checklists, drill reports.
• Hospital accreditation requirements (e.g., NABH)
• Coordinate for fire NOC, audits, and inspections.
• Prevents panic and crowding.
• Liaise with maintenance, biomedical, electrical teams.
• Ensure defects are rectified promptly
