• Developed upscaling methodologies for gas-solid fluidized bed reactors under the EU Horizon 2020 TUSAIL project, introducing rCFD methods to replace classical CFD simulations and achieve a 30,000x speedup.
• Validated rCFD against classical CFD via checkerboard visualization of gas-solid mixing and heat transfer, confirming equivalent accuracy at a fraction of computational cost.
• Integrated machine learning concepts to study the heat transfer behavior for a 30m tall reactor, reducing computational costs by 1000x.
• Conducted experimental analysis of binary solid particle mixing to extract raw mixing time data, providing validated input parameters for rCFD simulations.
