I did B.E. from MIT, Manipal in 1998 and have over 23 years of work experience in Business Development B2B, sales, proposals and various associated tasks. I have worked primarily in the electricity sector in India, some exposure also in the Railways sector. I have experience of supply contracts, service contracts and small EPC projects.
I have mainly sold various equipment's for power transmission industry and also solutions for emission reduction for thermal power plants (we use to call this as service business as they were solutions for customers but actually these were small EPC projects of modification of boilers at thermal power plans). I also have some experience of selling simulation software for power plants and equipment manufacturers.
I am based in Gurgaon and was last employed as Chief Manager Business Development at Fortum India Private Limited, part of Fortum Oyj, Finland. 31st March 2023 was my last working day at Fortum. I was responsible for developing the service business of Fortum eNext in India.
During these 20 plus years I have had the privilege to be part of a customer facing team and interacted with various companies in the public and private sector. We successfully did business with companies such as NTPC, POWERGRID, BHEL, Adani, L&T, KEC, Kalpataru, ABB, Siemens, GE T&D, Hindalco, CLP Group, Crompton Greaves, Bajaj Electricals, Gujarat State Transmission Co. (GETCO) and many others. As part of Fortum, my responsibility was to find a market for NOx emission reduction solution and thus I was interacting with many power plants and office(s) of NTPC, Adani, Vedanta, JSW, JSPL, CLP, Hindalco, CESC, MAHAGENCO and many others.
Before joining Fortum, I had an opportunity to work with many foreign companies and people of various nationalities (mostly reputed European manufacturers not having office in India) to help them develop entry strategy in India for their products and to assist them thereafter in business development, reaching right customers in India, getting techno- commercially qualified, bidding, market intelligence, sales, contracting and execution. I have traveled widely in India and abroad including project execution sites in Iraq 22 years ago to remote locations in India.
I am open to any suitable role and shall be grateful to get an opportunity. In case you require any further details, please do not hesitate to ask me.
