Investigated the role of IP6K1 inhibitors in obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD/MASH). Additionally, explored the functional role of E3 ubiquitin ligase Ube4A in metabolic disorders. Obesity and obesity-induced metabolic diseases are global health concerns. Research focuses on understanding mechanisms that cause these diseases with a hope to develop novel and improved therapeutic strategies for the treatment of these devastating diseases. Worked in the laboratory of Dr.
Chakraborty. Primary research focus was to evaluate effects of IP6K1 inhibitors in obesity, Insulin resistance and MASLD/MASH. Also engaged in understanding role of the E3 ligase Ube4A in obesity and MASLD by exploring the specific functions of Ube4A (an E3 ubiquitin ligase) in obesity, insulin resistance and MASLD. This research contributes toward developing improved therapeutic strategies for obesity-related diseases.
