Agricultural Economist and Scientist with 15+ years of experience in agricultural research, agricultural economics, agribusiness, policy analysis, sustainability assessment, value-chain analysis, market research, and monitoring and evaluation. Currently associated with ICAR and with experience across ICAR institutions, including the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, and ICAR-NIRCA/CTRI, with expertise in translating agricultural research into practical strategies for farmers, agribusinesses, and development programmes. Experienced in agricultural project planning, feasibility and economic analysis, commercial crop value chains, agri-food systems, agricultural marketing and trade, impact assessment, sustainability assessment, climate-change adaptation and integrated farming systems.
Investigator, successfully led research projects on agricultural sustainability, district-level agricultural development, high-value commercial crop value chains, the tobacco sector and integrated farming systems. Strong analytical and research capabilities in economic appraisal, policy evaluation, agricultural forecasting, statistical modelling, market and value-chain assessment, socioeconomic analysis and evidence-based decision support. Published 16 peer-reviewed research papers and contributed to technical bulletins, training manuals, book chapters and professional presentations.
Extensive experience in technical report preparation, project documentation, stakeholder consultations, training and knowledge dissemination, including work with the Tobacco Board and ICAR institutions. Also experienced in institutional monitoring and evaluation, priority setting, technology commercialization, intellectual property, agricultural knowledge management and application of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture.
