Research Intern – AI & Autonomous Assistive Systems at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala (2024-06 – 2024-08)

• Developed a voice-guided assistive navigation robot for visually impaired users by combining Arduino hardware, sensors, AI/ML, deep learning, NLP, and external API integrations.
• Implemented environment perception and obstacle-detection workflows, enabling the mobile robot to detect surroundings, navigate indoor spaces, and provide spoken navigation assistance.
• Built a multilingual voice interaction layer processing natural-language queries and responding with spoken directions and contextual information in real-time.
• Integrated API-based AI services with the robotic system to deliver interactive, voice-first assistance for accessibility.
