• Designed and optimized a high-performance, compact (9.5(mm) X 12 (mm)) stacked patch antenna operating in the Ku-band using ANSYS HFSS.
• Integrated an engineered meta surface layer on top of the stacked patch configuration to enhance performance and achieve a targeted fractional bandwidth of 2 GHz.
• Implemented shorting pin techniques within the design to suppress surface waves, enabling wide-angle beam scanning performance of up to +/- 45˚.
• Conducted full-wave EM simulations to analyze S-parameters, radiation patterns, and gain parameters, ensuring all design metrics met strict satellite/communication specifications.
