Counsel individual groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits & also nutrition to improve the quality of their life.
Consult with patients to determine nutritional needs diet restrictions, like low fat or salt free diets
Plan the diet charts according to needs of patients like nephritic, hyperacidity, diabetic, PCOS, PIH, Gestational diabetes, Obesity, Underweight, Anaemia, Hypo/Hyperthyroidism.
Plan the therapeutic diets and post operative diets such as clear fluid, full fluid diet, soft diet and normal diet.
Plan, conduct and also evaluate dietary and Nutritional deficiencies.
Organise, develop, analyze, test and know how to prepare special meals like low fat, low cholesterol and chemical free meals and gluten free.
Coordinate diet counselling services
Instruct patients as well as family members in nutritional principles and dietary plans, food preparation and food selection.
Provide quality nutrition counselling to patients and assist with discharge planning as needed.
