Client: Metro AG. Metro AG is a German multinational company based in Düsseldorf which operates business membership-only cash and carry stores primarily under the Metro brand. Metro is operating 622 wholesale stores in 21 countries. In 2010, it was the fourth-largest retailer in the world measured by revenues, after Wal-Mart, Carrefour and Tesco. Until 2020, it was also active in the general retail business through the Real division, which was sold to an investor consortium.

• Provide L1 SAP FI production support to business users, managing incidents, service requests, and root-cause analysis through Jira.
• Create and maintain G/L accounts, Company Code, Chart of Accounts, account groups, and field-status configurations based on approved business requirements.
• Maintain document types, number ranges, and document splitting configuration, and analyze related posting issues.
• Create and maintain house banks, cost centers, and FSV mappings to support bank-related and financial reporting requirements.
• Perform and support FI document postings, analyzing posting errors, validation issues, and G/L balances and line items for financial accuracy.
• Support AP and AR processes through vendor and customer line-item analysis, and assist with month-end/year-end closing and financial statement validation.
• Monitor IDoc/ALE processing and YSDI interfaces, analyzing failed or incorrect interface transactions.
• Monitor SM35 batch-input sessions and SM36/SM37 background jobs, coordinating resolution of failures with technical teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, provide end-user support, maintain functional documentation, and support go-live stabilization and day-to-day SAP FI operations.
