- Ensures that daily schedules, quality and production goals are met, troubleshoots problems as required.
- Provide technical leadership for department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements.
- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and work flow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.
- Maintains constructive working relationship with business units, customers, and internal departments including effective communication, coordination of WIP and process improvement.
- Develops systems for tracking efficiency, quality, scrap, rework, etc. Identifies and implements steps for improvement.
- Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, identifies new technologies and expansion plans.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensuring that daily schedules, production, and quality goals are met.
- Identifying and resolving problems with the molding process.
- Preparing mold tooling for new programs and managing existing production molds.
- Overseeing the development and training of new employees.
- Monitoring and managing the inventory of the plant.
- Managing tooling and piece part cost estimates.
- Communicating and engaging with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitoring efficiency reports and determining areas that require special attention.
- Maintaining the methodology of lean manufacturing in the department.
- Working with the maintenance personnel to maintain the preventative maintenance program.

- Proficiently use email and Excel for communication, data analysis, and reporting.
