- Monitor and improve customer-facing service quality for account opening, loan disbursal, card issuance, disputes/chargeback, payments/NEFT/RTGS/IMPS processing, and complaint resolution.
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, cash management, vault control, end-of-day reconciliation, and service desk efficiency to maintain accuracy and operational integrity.
- Act as Officer-in-Charge in the Branch Manager's absence, making decisions on operations, customer escalations, staffing, and risk events while ensuring continuity of service.
- Execute branch sales plans for liabilities (CASA), assets (loans), third-party products (insurance, investments), cards, and digital adoption to meet monthly/quarterly targets.
- Drive local business development through customer outreach, cross-sell/upsell, community engagement and partnerships, tracking funnels and conversion metrics.
- Enforce KYC/AML, sanctions screening, and documentation discipline; perform checker controls and ensure adherence to internal audit findings and regulatory requirements.
- Manage operational risk registers and KRIs for cash, ATM/CDM, lockers, remittances, and high-risk transactions; ensure surprise checks and compliance certifications.
- Supervise and coach relationship managers, tellers, and service staff; handle scheduling, on-the-job training, and performance reviews to uplift productivity and quality.
