The focal point support the efficient management and functioning jointly with the Cluster Lead Agency, resourcing partners and all cluster participants at the national and sub-national level for the efficient management and functioning of the WASH Cluster.
- Ensure appropriate coordination with all humanitarian partners (NGO, UN agencies, and government) through establishment/maintenance of appropriate sectoral coordination mechanisms: meetings, information sharing, reporting.
- Organize cluster coordination meetings periodically including the preparation of minute of meetings to be shared with all partners and the National WASH cluster coordinator.
- Maintain monthly reporting from Cluster participants, including 4Ws ('who does What, Where, When and for Whom?').
- Respond to the Cluster participants' needs for information related to the WASH response within the governorate.
- Work closely with the National WASH cluster coordinator and co-coordinator to identify gaps related to the WASH response, related to the information that is provided from the governorate on this regard, and related to the coverage of Cluster activities.
- Work with Cluster participants to propose ways to bridge those gaps.
- Represent the WASH Cluster to authorities with support and, linkage with National Coordinator and Coordinator.
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, engagement and coordination between the National and the local levels.
