About the Role

We are partnering with a leading financial services company seeking a Senior Freelance Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to support strategic reporting and financial analytics initiatives.

This is a fully remote position (Italy-based candidates only), requiring fluency in Italian and proven experience working within financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
• Build and optimise data models (DAX, Power Query, data transformations)
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Business teams to define KPIs and reporting needs
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Improve existing BI architecture and reporting efficiency

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst
• Proven experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or fintech
• Advanced Power BI (mandatory)
• SQL (advanced level)
• Experience with large datasets and data warehouse environments
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI (mandatory)
• Fluent Italian (spoken and written)
• Professional English (preferred)

Contract Details:

• Freelance contract
• Duration: 6–12 months with high likelihood of extension
• Fully remote (Italy-based)
