The Role

We are looking for an Italian-speaking Django Developer to join a remote team in Italy on a freelance basis. The initial contract is 6 months with potential extension, offering a flexible opportunity to work on web applications, APIs, and backend systems for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Django-based web applications and REST APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code, following best practices
• Integrate applications with databases, third-party APIs, and cloud services
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and technical discussions
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain existing applications for performance and reliability
• Work in a fully remote environment across Italy, communicating effectively with local teams

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience with Python and Django
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and ORM concepts
• Experience with unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
• Fluent Italian and English – required for collaboration with teams and clients
• Proven track record working in enterprise or consultancy projects
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup, delivering quality results

Contract Details

• Daily rate negotiable based on experience
